The Compact winch offers both extra power and speed because of its improved two-gear mechanism. First gear on the Compact sheets in line twice as fast as a conventional two-speed winch; reversing the direction on the winch handle drops it into second gear, which delivers the pulling power of a 45 winch. It is the perfect solution for anyone looking to replace their prima- ries and get extra speed or ex- trapoweronaboatofupto10 metres (30”). If you have a Ger- man main sheet system they can be very useful on even bigger boats.

The secret of the Compact lies in a very innovative gearing layout. The use of a planetary gear system allows higher loads in a small footprint. An additional benefit is that it also enables line entry from any direction without impacting performance.
